Disease Description: Sinusitis refers to inflammation of the sinuses. This is generally caused by a viral, bacterial, or fungal infection. 	Origin: Peppermint is the dried aerial part of Mentha haplocalyx Briq. (Fam. Labiatae). Nature and affinity: Pungent to the taste, cold in nature, and distributes to the Lung and Liver Channels. *Main Active Ingredient:* Volatile oil

Radix Angelicae Dahuricae
	Origin: Dahurian Angelica Root is the dried root of Angelica dahurica (Fisch. Ex Hoffm.) Benth. Et Hook. f. or Angelica dahurica (Fisch. Ex Hoffm.) Benth. Et Hook. f. var. formosana (Boiss.) Shan et Yuan (Fam. Umbelliferae). Nature and affinity: Pungent in taste and warm in nature, and distributed to the Stomach, large Intestine and Lung Channels.

Cortex Mori Radicis
	Nature and affinity: It is sweet in flavour and cold in nature. It is tropistic to the lung channel. Its sweetness and coldness are good at clearing and sending down rebellious Qi. *Common Name:* mulberry root bark, morus bark

Radix Platycodi
	Origin: Platycodon Root is the dried root of Platycodon grandiflorum (Jacq.) A. DC. (Fam. Campanulaceae). Nature and affinity: It is bitter and pungent in taste and neutral in nature, and is distributed to the Lung Channel.

Flos Lonicerae

Origin: Honeysuckle Flower is the dried flower bud or opening flower of Lonicera japonica Thunb., lonicera hypoglauca Miq., Lonicera confuse DC. or Lonicera dasystyla Rehd. (Fam Caprifoliaceae).
Nature and affinity: It is sweet in taste and cold in nature. Its therapeutic action is related to the Channels of the Lung, Heart and Stomach.

Main Active Ingredient: chlorogenic acid (C16H18O9)

Herba Taraxaci
	Origin: Dandelion is the dried herb of Taraxacum mongolicum Hand. �Mazz., Taraxacum sinicum Kitag. or several other species of the same genus (Fam. Compositae). Nature and affinity: It is bitter and sweet to the taste, cold in nature, and distributed to the Liver and Stomach Channels. *Main Active Ingredient:* Caffeic acid (C9H8O4)

Fructus Xanthii
	Origin: Siberian Cocklebur Fruit is the dried ripe bur with involucre of Xanthium sibiricum Patr. (Fam. Compositae). Nature and affinity: The drug is pungent and bitter to the taste, warm and a little poisonous in nature, and distributed to the taste , warm and a little poisonous in nature, and distributed to the Lung Channel.

Rhizoma Acori Graminei
