Disease Description:  Glossopharyngeal neuralgia is a condition marked by repeated episodes of severe pain in the tongue, throat, ear, and tonsils, which can last from a few seconds to a few minutes. Glossopharyngeal neuralgia is believed to be caused by irritation of the ninth cranial nerve. Symptoms usually begin in people over 40 years of age. Nature and affinity: It is poisonous and pungent in taste and neutral in nature. Its therapeutic action is related to the Liver Channel.
Radix Angelicae Dahuricae
Origin: Dahurian Angelica Root is the dried root of Angelica dahurica (Fisch. Ex Hoffm.) Benth. Et Hook. f. or Angelica dahurica (Fisch. Ex Hoffm.) Benth. Et Hook. f. var. formosana (Boiss.) Shan et Yuan (Fam. Umbelliferae).

Radix Angelicae Sinensis
Origin: Chinese Angelica is the dried root of Angelica sinensis (Oliv.) Diels (Fam. Umbelliferae).
